Notes

Less complexity. Better systems.

Asking whether a tool is truly needed can be the most useful technical decision.

Notebook

Simplicity is a design choice

As the knowledge needed to understand a system grows, changing and repairing it can become harder. This sample note offers questions to ask before adding another tool.

What does it solve?

What specific problem does the new component solve? Who maintains it? Could the existing tools meet the same need? When the answers are unclear, start with a small experiment.
