Scope
İsa Öztürk aims to explain the purposes of cookies and similar browser records used by this personal website. A cookie is a small record that a browser can send with requests. Local storage is a different mechanism kept in the browser and read by the application. They are not the same tool; the information stored and its purpose matter for both.
Default use
The website does not load advertising cookies, behavioural tracking pixels or third-party analytics code by default. Language selection uses Turkish and English page addresses. Fonts and site imagery are served as local assets. Social profile links do not automatically embed platform tracking components.
An authorised administration session may use a necessary session cookie and security information to verify the source of requests. Their purposes are authorised access and transaction security. Sessions are time-limited by configuration, and access should end on logout or revocation. These records are not used for marketing. A visitor who does not open an administration session does not need an account session record.
Preference record
The local storage record io.cookie-preferences.v1 remembers selected categories, a save time and a version. The application stops treating a choice as current after 180 days; physical removal of the browser record also depends on browser settings and usage. This record is not intended to hold a name, email address or message. If storage is unavailable, a choice may apply only to the current page or session.
Optional tools
If a consent-based analytics, video, map or social feature is introduced, its provider, purpose, information, duration and any transfer conditions need an additional explanation. Options should not be pre-enabled where consent is required, and browsing should not be treated as consent. Where a choice is needed, acceptance, rejection and preference controls are presented with equal accessibility. Rejection should not become an unnecessary barrier to reading general content.
Seeing a category in the preference interface does not establish that a provider for that category is actually active. In the current default configuration, an analytics choice does not automatically load a tracking service. Introducing a provider requires updating the actual cookie inventory; invented cookie names and durations should not be presented as existing records.
Changing your choice
Use Cookie preferences in the footer to review or change your selection or withdraw optional category consent. Browser site-data controls can also remove records. Blocking necessary session records in the browser may prevent explicitly requested features, such as access to the administration panel, from working.
Withdrawal affects future consent-based processing and does not, on its own, change the legal assessment of earlier operations. Remembering a choice is not used as a reason to build an unnecessary visitor profile or detailed tracking history. If an optional provider outside Türkiye is selected, the legal transfer conditions need consideration separately from the cookie choice.
